Description

This traditional nesting box with a rustic feel and bitumen roof will provide wrens with a good place to nest, helping to conserve their population or aid in their reintroduction in a specific area. In winter, the box will be useful for birds seeking shelter from the elements.

Place the nesting box on a tree or wall at a maximum height of 2 m (6.6 ft.) in a well-hidden spot among shrubs. Avoid direct sunlight or the prevailing rain side, ensuring an unobstructed flight path for the bird. Due to the territorial behavior of these birds, it's best to hang the nesting box at least 10 m (32 ft.) away from nesting boxes of the same species and at least 3 m (10 ft.) away from feeding stations. Autumn is the best time to clean a nesting box.
